Furthermore, Ubon Ratchathani province has set up a field hospital specifically for COVID-19 in a new four-story building located 6 kilometers from Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital. It has been in service since March 30, 2020.

This field hospital is under Sanpasitthiprasong Hospital, the main hospital of Ubon Ratchathani, which is located in town.

The field hospital consists of examination rooms and wards which have been instituted to provide treatments for COVID-19 patients, to facilitate people at risk to receive COVID-19 tests. This hospital is capable of admitting approximately 65 patients.

The field hospital provides medical care for people in the Mueang district and those living nearby with COVID-19 related symptoms such as high fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath. For people from other districts, it is suggested that they use medical services from their local hospitals.
