Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn conferred degree certificates for Ubon Ratchathani University Class of 2018 graduates at the His Majesty’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Commemorating Building, Ubon Ratchathani University on 11 December 2019.
This year’s graduates made up the 28th graduating class of Ubon Ratchathani University. There was a total of 3,275 degrees awarded: 23 doctoral degrees, 91 master degrees and 3,161 bachelor degrees.
On this honorable occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri provided important life guidance on how to handle conflicts to the graduates stating,
“You all as graduates are about to join the workforce and live among the larger society. You will experience that in both your personal and work life, conflict will arise from time to time. However, to ensure that you live peacefully, you should learn how to communicate with one another effectively. You should advocate for yourself by using reason and logic to support your claims. A discussion should then be carried with open-mindedness and empathy in order to make warranted decisions that are beneficial to all parties involved. One person’s opinion shall not be used as an excuse to do as he/she/they desire, or to maliciously defeat others. I hope that the graduating class of 2018 truly understand the deep meaning behind this message and take it as a life lesson that will help you live a more peaceful and harmonious life.”
