On 6 March 2019, Associate Professor Dr. Nongnit Teerawatanasuk, the UBU President, and UBU executive staff warmly welcomed Dr. Phonesavanh Thepphasoulithone, the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Champasack University (CU) and staff at Buntharik Meeting Room at the Office of the President, UBU.
CU and UBU are long-term academic partners that have conducted numerous academic activities, especially in the fields of Law and Agriculture. In particular, the Faculty of Law at UBU has been organizing the Staff and Student Exchange Program with the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at CU. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Agriculture at UBU continuously produces many graduates who have the opportunity to work at CU.
To promote and expand more academic collaboration between CU and UBU, Dr. Phonesavanh Thepphasoulithone and her colleagues visited UBU to consult the possibility of sending CU staff to study at UBU for master degrees in Biotechnology and Innovation of Tourism and doctoral degrees in Animal Science and Plant Science. Their desired degrees involved the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Liberal Arts and the Faculty of Agriculture. Therefore, Assistant Professor Dr. Surasak Khamkhong, the Dean of Faculty of Liberal Arts, Assistant Professor Kanjana Payooha, Vice Dean for Research and International Relations, the Faculty of Agriculture and Dr. Nudh Ditchareon, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the Faculty of Science were invited to join the meeting.
UBU is so pleased to continue working with and create more academic collaboration with CU. We are looking forward to meeting CU staff that will study at UBU in the near future.
